Best Photos of April 2018

April proved to be another potent  month of music in the DC area. Our photographers were happy to document some top notch shows including The Motet's return to the 9:30 Club, Yes Darling's (Hayley Jane + Ryan Montbleudebut at Gypsy Sally's, and The Field Report's jaunt at Songbyrd Music House. The Band of Friends: A Celebration of Rory Gallagher ft. Davy Knowles, Gerry McAvoy and Ted McKenna played amazing shows at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD and The Brichmere in Alexandria, VA.

Baltimore welcomed  local favorites Jerry's Tripsters featuring special guest Ron Holloway on tenor saxophone at the 8x10 as well as a great pairing of LITZ and Deaf Scene at the Soundstage. Everyone Orchestra threw down at Gypsy Sally's, paving the way for Ghost Light's DC debut that did not disappoint. We even were lucky enough to gift them some gourmet donuts in the green room before a live-streamed interview! 420 Weekend included The Big Lebowski Experience at Pearl Street Warehouse, Staycation's 9:30 gig opening for Lotus, and Cypress Hill headlining the 2018 National Cannabis Festival. A night with Buckethead topped the bill at The State Theatre as well.

The 2018 Charm City Bluegrass festival was a blast ft. legends The Travelin' McCourys, Jeff Austin Band and more. The Jon Stickley Trio closed out the month with an intimate show at Pearl Street Warehouse at The Wharf.
