The Marcus King Band Set to Rock Baltimore Soundstage with LITZ on Wednesday

Marcus King Band

DC Music Review favorites, The Marcus King Band (MKB), kick off their 2019 summer tour this weekend in support of their late 2018 release, Carolina Confessions. The band graces the Baltimore Soundstage on Wednesday, July 10 with local funk rockers, Maryland natives, LITZ

Marcus King

MKB has been on a tear in 2019, playing several festivals including DelFest, Rooster Walk, Dark Star Jubilee and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The band sold-out three nights at the iconic Brooklyn Bowl in New York City in June and has been gearing up for the summer season. King and his bandmates last hit the DC area in December and tore up the 9:30 Club with a stunning display of soul-infused blues rock. You can check out our review including photos and audio here.

At the ripe age of 23, King has commanded attention on the national scene with his virtuosic guitar playing, unique raspy vocals and stellar songwriting. The band will be included in some powerhouse festival lineups this year including Peach Music Festival, 4848 Festival and Eric Clapton's Crossroads Music Festival. The band also landed a spot on Chris Stapleton's All American Road Show tour with Margo Price and will perform at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday, August 11.
