The MusicianShip Announces The 2020 Virtual Wammies – Begins TONIGHT!

The 2020 Virtual Wammies

It has been quite an interesting few months since The Wammie Awards were set to take place on March 31st. The world has quite literally tipped off of it's axis since early March, and the Wammies, along with so many other things, had to be canceled, delayed, reconfigured, deconstructed and repurposed.

We have spoken with the great people at The MusicianShip over these past few months and know how tirelessly they have worked to serve our community. Since then, there have been so many questions asked, solved, and answered by both The MusicianShip and the community. We are very happy to inform everyone that The MusicianShip will host a VIRTUAL Wammies Awards and it will take place each night next week. So instead of a single night of celebrations at The Lincoln Theatre we, as a community, will spend a week celebrating one another and all that we have achieved.

Each segment debuts at 7PM on The Wammies DC  Website beginning tonight! So please do set those calendar alerts now!

In addition to presenting awards, there will also be performances by: The Media Prince, Crush Funk Brass, Be Steadwell, Jonny Grave, Carly Harvey, Marcus Cook, Brittany Johnson, Conrado Muluc, Keley Nelson, and The NRIS.

We hope to join you all at the Wammies DC 2021. Until then, however, we wish to congratulate each individual, each artist, and each group that was nominated.
We celebrate with you and celebrate all that you have done for our music community and sincerely wish you the utmost health and safety during these trying times.
