Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

Baltimore's beloved band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, is set to perform two funk-tastic nights at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, on Friday, February 3rd, and Saturday, February 4th. What better way to spend two nights in the DMV than taking roost at the 9:30 Club with the rest of the flock?

Over the years, the DMV has witnessed and has been spoiled by the likes of these talented musicians - Greg Ormont (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jeremy Schon (lead guitar), Ben Carrey (bass), and Alex "Gator" Petropulos (drums).

To attend a Pigeons concert is to surrender to the flow; in fact, Pigeons doesn't just have performances - Pigeons entertains an audience with parties of joy and enthusiasm.  Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia along with the rest of the country have been completely submerged in these parties of unending joy and creativity since the band's inception at the University of Maryland in 2009.

“We want to offer people an escape, a place where they can leave all their troubles and worries behind and embrace the joy of human connection. Our mission with our music is to create the most blissful, carefree experience possible.”

This band continues to delight fans with joyous pajama parties as we all sing along to  "Hakuna Matata." They have amazed us with their creative Halloween musical mashups that have recently included a Beatles and Red Hot Chili Peppers inspired "Red Hot Sgt. Peppers," and a Daft Punk and Pink Floyd inspired "Daft Side of the Moon." During the worst of the pandemic, they performed at the Frederick Fairgrounds, where Greg Ormont wore a Baltimore Raven's inspired t-shirt to show fans where his love and loyalty lay.

The 9:30 Club is just a short one-hour drive from their hometown in Baltimore, the flock is sure to be out in full force. The band continues to sell out shows regularly and rides a wave of momentum that continues to grow.

Don't sit on purchasing these tickets - if you act now, you can buy a limited two-night pass and save $10.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the 9:30 Club for two funktastic nights of overflowing, joyous music.
